Second Generation (Adjustable Washpipe Assembly):
Incorporated Utex packing imported from the USA and domestic supersonic tungsten carbide flushing pipes, significantly prolonging life in high-pressure, oil-based mud environments.

Third Generation (Mechanical Washpipe Assembly):
Enhancements: Eliminated the independent bushing structure, focusing instead on replacing only the dynamic and static rings during maintenance. This innovation saves substantial downtime for daily maintenance and minimizes operational disruptions.


 

 

 

Mechanical Washpipe Assembly:

A groundbreaking mechanical seal washpipe assembly comprising an upper connecting nut, static ring, dynamic ring, dynamic ring anti-rotation pin, and lower connecting nut. It offers an extended service life, simplified maintenance, and stable operation, requiring only the replacement of dynamic and static rings during each maintenance cycle. Under standard operations, the lifespan of the washpipe seal reaches up to 1700 hours, accommodating pressure levels of 5000PSI and 7500PSI. It is compatible with NOV and various domestic Top Drive models, proving particularly advantageous in environments with pressures up to 5000PSI and temperatures exceeding 100°C. It remains maintenance-free during its normal service life, saving critical downtime and maintenance interruptions, thus enhancing operational continuity.

Daily maintenance:

1. Lubrication Management: Ensure optimal performance by adding grease to pivotal nodes daily, with 2-4 flushes per location, safeguarding the equipment's longevity and reliability.
2. Leakage check: Diligently inspect the connection between the flushing pipe and the main shaft. If you observe mud leakage surpassing 5 drops per minute, it is imperative to halt operations immediately to replace the seal and prevent any potential damage.
3. Fastener inspection: Ensure daily scrutiny of the flushing pipe fixing bolts and anti-loosening gaskets. The torque must adhere strictly to the prescribed standards, securing flawless and consistent performance.
Monthly: Disassemble and meticulously inspect the flushing pipe assembly. Replace any worn packing and if the O-ring manifests a reduction in hardness by more than 15%, substitute it promptly to maintain optimal functionality.
Seasonally: Conduct a thorough flushing of the hydraulic system, ensuring the meticulous removal of impurities from the sealing chamber. Achieve an oil contamination level of NAS-8 or below to maintain peak operational efficiency.
