Product Description

A hydraulic cylinder is a important device on Top drive that uses hydraulic fluid (like oil) to generate force in a linear motion, converting hydraulic energy into mechanical movement. It consists of a cylinder barrel, a piston inside the barrel, and a piston rod attached to the piston. When pressurized hydraulic fluid is forced into one side of the cylinder, it pushes the piston and piston rod, producing a linear force. 

How it Works:

1. Hydraulic fluid is pumped into one side of the cylinder, creating pressure.
2. This pressure forces the piston to move, pushing or pulling the piston rod.
3. The piston rod's motion is what generates the linear force.
