Regular cleaning: Use diesel or kerosene to soak and clean, remove the sealing cover to thoroughly remove impurities, and check the wear after air drying;
Lubrication management: Use high-temperature grease (such as high-quality yellow dry oil) to melt over a slow fire and then immerse the bearing to ensure full penetration;
Condition monitoring: Use a wooden stick to conduct the rotation noise to judge abnormalities. Loose or serious defects need to be replaced in time with the same model OEM parts;
Rust prevention: Apply anti-rust oil immediately after cleaning to avoid corrosion during storage.
It is recommended to carry out comprehensive maintenance every 2000 hours of operation or after completing deep well operation to extend the service life.

I. Pre-Installation Preparation

1.     Surface Treatment

   • Thoroughly clean shaft journals and bearing housing bores to ensure freedom from scratches, burrs, or contaminants. Apply anti-corrosion grease (e.g., lithium-based grease) to mating surfaces.
   • Verify bearing model (e.g., 109519, 120455) for compatibility with TDS-11SA top drive systems.
   • Tool Calibration
     • Prepare specialized tools: hydraulic press, torque wrench, heating oil bath (80°C-100°C transformer oil), and matching sleeve tools.
        

 

II. Core Installation Steps

Method 1: Cold Pressing (Recommended for standard conditions)

1. Shaft Mounting

   • Align bearing inner ring with shaft journal. Use a sleeve to uniformly press the inner ring along the axis via hydraulic press. Never apply force directly to outer rings or rolling elements.
   • Ensure full contact between inner ring and shaft shoulder. Manually rotate to confirm smooth operation.

2. Housing Bore Mounting

   • Press outer ring into aligned housing bore. Maintain coaxial alignment during pressing to prevent deflection.

Method 2: Thermal Expansion (For large interference fits)

1. Heat bearing to 80°C-100°C in oil bath (20-40 minutes). Quickly slide onto shaft until contacting shoulder.
2. After natural cooling, use hydraulic press to eliminate oil clearance.

 

III. Positioning & Preload

1. Axial Fixation
   • Apply dual rigid fixation: Secure inner ring via shaft shoulder + locknut; clamp outer ring with flange.
2. Bolt Pre-tensioning
   • Tighten flange bolts in crisscross sequence across 3-4 stages, incrementally increasing torque to specified value (using torque wrench).
   • Prohibit spring washers; use hardened flat washers only.

 

IV. Post-Installation Verification

1. Functional Testing
   • Manually rotate bearing unloaded to confirm absence of abnormal noise/resistance. Check gear meshing clearance if applicable.
2. Operational Monitoring
   • Recheck bolt torque after initial 100 operating hours; conduct subsequent 500-hour interval checks. Halt operations immediately upon abnormal vibration.

 

Critical Notes

• During pressing, force must ONLY be applied to the ring with interference fit (press inner ring for shaft fits; outer ring for housing fits)
  ;
• Oil temperature for thermal installation must not exceed 120°C to prevent material annealing
   
• Use positional preloading with spacers to eliminate axial play.
• For bearings with magnetic sensors (e.g., speed coils), avoid pressing on sensing surfaces to prevent functional failure
   (if equipped).
