The gear box employs an involute hard tooth surface gear paired with secondary bevel gear for stable transmission, achieving a transmission ratio of 11.91:1. The lubrication system ingeniously combines splash lubrication with forced lubrication through the oil pump circulation, ensuring seamless operation.
      1. Gooseneck Assembly - Engineered for precision and reliability
The gooseneck assembly is expertly designed for well logging, utilizing corrosion-resistant liner and nuts to effectively seal the upper high-pressure mud pipeline, preventing any risk of mud overflow during drilling.
One end of the gooseneck securely connects with the wash pipe assembly, which adopts a super high pressure structure essential for sealing the high pressure mud. Its innovative self-sealing and rapid disassembly structure ensures seamless maintenance. Simply open the cover of the upper and lower packing to effortlessly remove the entire device without detaching the gooseneck or the mud hose. This feature empowers operators to halt drilling and replace components at any time, guaranteeing uninterrupted drilling processes.
At the other end of the gooseneck, it is seamlessly connected with the mud hose through a robust 4-inch female joint. This union features a Fig1003 thread type, ensuring a secure and reliable connection.
A sophisticated mud prevention device is strategically installed at the juncture of the main shaft and the wash pipe, meticulously designed to meet the rigorous demands of site operations.
      1. Rotating Head
The system includes one set of a state-of-the-art rotating head that operates independently of the main shaft, with elevator links tastefully suspended on the link adaptor. These elevator links are suspended on a precisely engineered link adaptor.
With an advanced worm gear transmission structure, this system guarantees smooth and efficient operation.
The rotating head's versatility allows it to rotate 360° in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, seamlessly driving the elevator link and elevator together to effectively grasp the single pipe in the mouse hole and the triple stem on the monkey board. The triple stem on the monkey board is easily handled.
A powerful hydraulic motor system, featuring the cutting-edge Danfoss cycloid motor, propels the rotating head with speeds ranging from 2 to 5 r/min.
      1. Tilt System
The dynamic tilt cylinder propels the elevator link to swing, enabling forward and backward tilting with precision. The forward tilt allows the elevator to seamlessly extend to the mouse hole and the monkey board. During drilling, the backward tilt ensures the lower end of the backup tong aligns closely with the drilling platform, optimizing the use of the drilling tool.
The tilt range, adjustable, is contingent on the elevator link's length, featuring a forward angle of 30° and a backward tilt angle of 55°.

The hydraulic system elegantly incorporates a 'middle' setting within the tilt mechanism, which allows the elevator link to automatically return to a free swing state, preventing undue pressure in the tilt cylinder and safeguarding the hydraulic system.

The suspension bail counterbalance system is a pivotal component of the top drive system. This bail, expertly connected with the gearbox via a pin shaft and securely hung on the hook or traveling block, masterfully balances the body weight. The VSP top drive is equipped with a double hydraulic cylinder with an internal force balance mode, allowing for direct hanging with hook or traveling block, eliminating the need for additional devices. This design enhances safety and reliability during operations.
      1. Back Up Tong Assembly
Outfitted with a single L-type backup tong assembly, featuring a combination of motor and cylinder for clamping, releasing, makeup, and breakout operations.       1. Hydraulic Valve Manifold
One set of hydraulic manifold is equipped, the plug valves adopt the WANDFLUH hydraulic components , and the solenoid valves also adopt the products of WANDFLUH Company.
:The hydraulic control valves adopt the form of plug-in type, and the solenoid reversing valves are all explosion-proof products. Its specific composition is as follows:
First line: the counterbalance system controls the oil circuit. It is composed of pressure relief overflow valve, hydraulic control check valve, throttle valve and accumulator. The main function of the counterbalance system is to balance the weight of the body to protect the threads from wearing when the joints makeup and breakout. The function of the pressure relief overflow valve is to adjust the working pressure of the balance cylinder to meet the weight of the body; the accumulator acts as buffer, shock absorption and pressure protection. The balance cylinder is equipped with safety overflow valve with pressure set of 17MPa to prevent impact load to protect the hydraulic cylinder.
Second line: the main motor brake oil circuit.,consists of EX solenoid reversing valves.
Third line: the oil circuit of motor on rotating head. It is composed of explosion-proof solenoid reversing valve and pressure regulating valve. The damping hole of solenoid valve is made of hard alloy material to improve the service life.
Fourth line: the Oil circuit of remote control internal blowout preventer (IBOP) consists of explosion-proof solenoid reversing valves.
Fifth line: the back-up tong control oil circuit. oil circuit.explosion-proof solenoid reversing valves, equipped with pressure sensor.
Sixth line: the Tilt system oil circuit. It is composed of explosion-proof solenoid reversing valve and throttle check valve and other units. The solenoid valve plays the reversing role, and the throttle check valve makes the elevator link stop in any position for a long time, which can be set to the swing state when the elevator link is in the middle position.
The above oil circuits are all set with pressure detection points to monitor the working pressure of each oil circuit. At the same time, the air in each oil circuit and oil cylinder can be discharged through the pressure measurement point to make the system work smoothly.
