Prior to delivery, the F-series drilling pumps undergo full assembly and operational load testing at our manufacturing facilities. The power end lubrication oil is drained after testing.
Before putting the pump into service, all assembly and inspection procedures must be performed under the following safety precautions: To prevent personal injury during maintenance or inspection, the equipment must be powered off, and all protective devices on the drive motor and transmission components must be secured in the safety position.
1.Pump Installation
The LSF series drilling pump can be mounted on standard bases compatible with various pump types. Note that while the box-structured power end framework offers substantial bending resistance, its torsional strength is comparatively limited. Consequently, the supporting foundation must maintain perfect horizontality and possess adequate load-bearing capacity to sustain both the pump's static weight and operational dynamic loads.
2.Ground Installation
For ground-mounted applications, position eight 76×305mm support plates beneath the pump base, aligning them longitudinally with the base frame (refer to Fig.1 for precise placement). The underlying foundation should extend at least 300mm beyond the pump base perimeter on all sides. In marshy or high-moisture environments, enhanced foundation reinforcement is required.
3.Permanent Installation
When permanently installing on marine drilling vessels or platforms, anchor the pump to either steel structural bases or concrete foundations using mounting bolts. Critical attention must be paid to proper shimming beneath the pump base to eliminate potential torsional stresses or framework deformation. Ensure full contact between the pump base and all support timbers when bolts are in the un-tightened state.
For shipboard installations where the pump base connects to T-beam structures (see Fig.1 & Fig.2), particular care must be taken in timber placement to prevent base distortion or subsidence. All support timbers must exceed the T-beam's flange width, with a minimum required length of 305mm.
